Pacific Puddle Jump Bond Exemptions

All non-European Union citizens must pay a refundable 'repatriation bond' equal to the cost of an airline ticket back to their home country. This bond fee is refunded to you the day you leave FrPoly, but in the local currency, so you typically will lose money on the exchange.

Registering for the PPJ DOES NOT automatically exempt you from having to pay a bond for each member of your crew. However, boats registered with the PPJ are eligible to participate in a special PPJ bond and clearance package offered by a Tahitian yacht agent for a reasonable fee. The package includes clearance in and out, bond exemptions for crew, and a duty free fuel certificate. See this link for a full explanation of the package.
