PPJ Bon Voyage Event Reminder
We hope to meet many 2024 Puddle Jumpers in person at our two upcoming PPJ Sendoff events in Mexico and Panama, which will all be co-hosted by the South Pacific Sailing Network.
Our presentation team members will be flying in from Tahiti, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand specifically to share their knowledge and insights with you about cruising highlights, customs and immigration issues, repair and refit facilities, cyclone season options and more. So we hope all 2024 Puddle Jumpers will make a special effort to attend. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

- June 21 - 24, 2024 — This annual three-day event has a dual purpose: to celebrate the safe arrival of the international cruising fleet, and to showcase highly-revered Polynesian cultural traditions in music, dance, sport and cuisine. The event includes several live music and dance performances, a rally/race from Papeete to Moorea, meet and mingle cocktail parties, and optional meals. Representatives from other South Pacific cruising destinations will be on hand to present mini-seminars and answer area-specific questions. (All are members of the nonprofit South Pacific Sailing Network.)
- Friday, 2 pm, Papeete, Tahiti — Checkin begins followed by chart briefing, live music and dance performance, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
- Saturday, 10:30 am, Papeete to Moorea — Rally/race (or ‘cruise-in-company) from Papeete Harbor to Cook’s Bay, Moorea. Shoreside activities, entertainment and dinner.
- Sunday, all day, Moorea — Traditional sports day highlighted by cruiser participation in outrigger canoe races. Live music and dance. Optional Polynesian luncheon.
- Monday, 9:00 am, Moorea — Presentations by SPSN partners of highly informative seminars on cruising Fiji, Tonga, New Zealand, and Vanuatu. Complimentary beverages and croissants.
