Pacific Puddle Jump Repatriation Bond and Exemptions

All arriving non-European Union citizens are normally required to pay a refundable "repatriation bond" equal to the cost of an airline ticket back to their home country. This bond fee is refunded to you the day you leave French Polynesia, but in the local currency, so you typically will lose money on the exchange.
Registering for the Pacific Puddle Jump DOES NOT automatically exempt non-EU passport holders from having to pay a bond for each member of your crew. However, "bond exemptions" are among the many services offered at a 15% discount to all boats registered with the PPJ by our longtime partners at the TahitiCrew yacht agency . See this TahitiCrew Information link for a full explanation of their packages.
